Monday 8th to Friday 12th March 2010 from 9am-4pm
Axis Open Space

Scheduled to coincide with ‘International Woman’s Day’ on March 8th, co-curators Anita Pullan and Katherine Beckett have been invited to bring together selected artworks by artists whose work highlights women’s struggle for equality around the world and celebrates women’s creative achievements. Voice Collective showcases a range of art disciplines and connects university research and arts community cultures in one exhibition.

International Woman’s Day has been observed around the globe since the early 1900’s, when gender inequality spurred women to campaign for changes such as better voting rights and equal political representation. Each year the day is represented across the world by events, exhibitions, debates and celebrations.
